Synopsis

Venezuela's evolving sanctions landscape, deceptive shipping tactics, and the ports moving cargo across the region all carry real compliance and commercial risk, often hidden until it's too late.

What you'll learn

  • Venezuela maritime trade and sanctions: how evolving U.S. restrictions and waivers shape vessel activity and commodity flows
  • Deceptive shipping practices: key patterns including AIS manipulation, dark activity and ship-to-ship transfers
  • How Kpler identifies maritime risk: combining trade flows, vessel behaviour, satellite imagery and analyst validation to uncover higher-risk activity
  • AIS network advantage: Why seeing more vessels and receiving signals earlier creates stronger operational, commercial, and compliance intelligence, covering dark activity and how an exception-driven model reduces false positives and speeds up visibility
  • Container tracking and intelligence: connecting vessel movements with container-level visibility to understand where goods are, where disruption is developing, and when they'll actually arrive, covering ports as critical infrastructure, port calls, congestion, and container flows across major Latam gateways
